And the journey begins….
Newly diagnosed and need some help figuring it all out?
Have a chronic illness and want to live life to the fullest?
Are you a family member or a caretaker and need some support and encouragement?
Then you’re in the right place!
Welcome to chronicpraise.com, a website full of resources to help you win over chronic and find joy on your journey. I’m Elisa and I’m really glad you’re here. My friends who read the articles and join the conversations become support for each other as we navigate this thing called chronic illness or disease. This family of CDP’s (chronic disease people/patients) share life together and draw inspiration from each other, whether it’s having a safe place to just be real – yes, even the “yuck” of chronic pain – or encouraging one another through experiences and the ChronicPraise devo’s. You’ll find a safe place to live this chronic life and will learn that you are never, ever alone. #jointhejourney
My journey of chronic
My personal journey started in 2008 during the very peak of my small business success. Diagnosed with severe rheumatoid arthritis (among other things), I learned quickly that chronic disease will affect every part of your life, with or without your permission. My faith, family and a background in nursing, healthcare, and music all came together in a rare combination to get me through the toughest times I’ve ever endured. I’ve been at the top of my game, the bottom of the pit, and everywhere in between, and I share my experiences to educate, encourage, and empower others to win over chronic and find joy in their journey.
The ChronicPraise Blog
Many readers enjoy the blog entries and find them helpful. The entries are a mix of education, information, research, helpful tips, how-to’s, and some real-life experiences ranging from light and belly-laugh humorous to deep, bear-scratching ugly cry and tears. This is where we get real with each other and truly become a community. You’ll see the real me – and I want to see the real you.
So, let’s get started!
